The Reading Period is Open!

Send manuscripts of poetry between now and August 31st, 2012.

Between April and August, submit chapbook and full-length poetry manuscripts. Full guidelines can be reviewed at CooperDillon.com or by clicking the Home tab below. Submissions are taken through Submishmash, cutting down on waste, while saving you the cost of paper, ink, binder clips, envelopes, postage, and fuel for a trip to the post office.

Here are some quick reminders about submissions:

* Please have any contact information in the appropriate fields with a cover letter or bio.
* We have a $10 or buy-a-book reading fee for all manuscripts.
* If you purchase a book, include an order number when you submit.
* To pay the reading fee, select the appropriate option below.
* If your manuscript is taken elsewhere, simply withdraw it through the system.
* Please note: Visual Art Submissions DO NOT require a reading fee or book order.

Chapbook Submissions (Book already Purchased)

We understand that, traditionally, a chapbook is any collection less than 50 pages of poetry. We prefer chapbook manuscripts that are generally not longer than 35 pages. Please include your PayPal Order ID in your cover letter.

Visual Art Submissions

We believe in the poetry we present, and feel the art associated with our books should reflect the same quality and intention. If you are a visual artist (traditional or photographer - no digital paintings or collage, please) and would like to have your work considered by Cooper Dillon for use in the cover art of a future publication, please put a letter of introduction into the coverletter of the form, as well as a link to where we can view your work. In the title line of the submission form, please format like so: "[medium] by [your name]."
